Piano Lessons for Every Age and Level
Young Kids (Ages 4–8)
Piano is one of the best instruments for young children — the keys are visual, intuitive, and build music theory naturally. We start as young as 4, with lessons designed around short attention spans and real enthusiasm. Songs they love, not exercises they dread.
Older Kids & Teens
Older beginners move faster and often surprise themselves with how quickly they progress. Teens who want to learn pop, film scores, or write their own music are in the right place — we don’t force classical repertoire on students who aren’t interested in it.
Adults
Always meant to learn piano? Adult beginners are some of our most motivated students. Lessons are relaxed, goal-oriented, and there’s no judgment about where you’re starting from.
How Our Piano Lessons Work
One-on-one, weekly lessons. Same teacher, same time slot every week. 30, 45, or 60 minutes depending on age and goals.
No RCM exams, no competitions. We don’t push grades or trophies. Some families want RCM and we can accommodate that — but it’s never the default. Progress means enjoying music and getting better at it.
Digital progress notes. After every lesson your teacher sends a brief note on what was covered and what to focus on at home.
Two free student concerts per year. Relaxed, supportive performance opportunities at our studio.
Do I Need a Piano at Home?
A keyboard or digital piano works fine to start — you don’t need an acoustic upright right away. After the trial lesson we’ll give you honest advice on what’s worth buying and what’s not, based on your child’s age and level of interest. A basic weighted-key digital piano is usually the right starting point.

Private piano lessons run $148/month for 30-minute weekly lessons, $222/month for 45 minutes, and $296/month for 60 minutes. There’s a one-time $35 registration fee. Two free student concerts per year are included.
Do you prepare students for RCM exams?
We can, if that’s what you want. But we don’t push it by default — a lot of families come to us specifically because they don’t want the exam pressure. We’ll follow your lead on that at the trial lesson.
What if my child loses interest?
It’s normal. We adjust lesson content when motivation dips — different songs, different goals, a change of pace. Most of the time, a small shift in approach is all it takes to get things back on track.
