Question 1
How long are lessons?
Answer:
Lessons are typically 30 minutes once per week. Longer lesson options may be available depending on age and experience. 45 mins and 60 mins lessons are available
Question 2
Do students need to practice every day?
Answer:
Not always, but playing more makes better musicians. We focus on developing routines and practice habits – think of playing a song X times vs. practicing for 5/10/15 mins. Practice that fits into busy family schedules. Short, consistent practice is more effective than long, forced sessions.
Question 3
What ages do you teach?
Answer:
We recommend voice lessons starting at age 8 to protect developing vocal cords. Younger children who love singing can blend piano and voice in their lessons — building musicality without strain. We assess each student individually.
Question 4
Do I need an instrument at home?
Answer:
Voice students don’t need equipment at home beyond their own voice — but regular singing practice matters. We recommend practicing the songs and exercises your teacher assigns at least a few times between lessons. Consistent repetition is what builds vocal muscle memory.
We’re happy to recommend beginner-friendly options. Email us with any questions you have.
Question 5
What happens if we miss a lesson?
Answer:
We understand that schedules change. Our cancellation and make-up policy is designed to be fair and flexible while respecting teachers’ time. Lessons cancelled within 24 hours of the lesson will not be made up but the student will get a custom video lesson from their teacher.
We do have Zoom lesson options for any student who is sick.
Lessons cancelled in advance outside the 24-hour window will receive a credit to book a future class. We cannot always gurantee make ups with their teacher. Availability may be limited.
Question 6.
Are lessons weekly?
Answer:
Yes. Weekly lessons provide the consistency students need to build skills and confidence without feeling overwhelmed.
