Kids (Ages 4–12)
We meet kids where they are — not where a textbook says they should be. Lessons are encouraging, patient, and built around songs your child actually wants to play. No exams, no pressure, no performance anxiety. Just progress.
Teens
Teenagers don’t want to be talked down to. Our teachers are musicians themselves — they get it. Whether your teen wants to play in a band, write songs, or just get better, we work toward goals that mean something to them.
Adults
It’s never too late. We have students in their 50s, 60s, and beyond learning their first instrument. Adult lessons are relaxed, goal-oriented, and scheduled around your week — not a school calendar.
How It Works
1. Book a free trial lesson. No commitment. Come in, meet your teacher, see if it’s a fit.
2. Pick your weekly time. Same slot every week — consistency is what builds progress. Lessons run 30, 45, or 60 minutes.
3. We handle the rest. Weekly digital progress notes, two free concerts per year, and a teacher who genuinely knows your child.

How far is the drive from Ancaster to your studio?
Our studio is at 206 Locke Street South in Hamilton — typically a 10–15 minute drive from most parts of Ancaster via the Lincoln Alexander Parkway or Mohawk Road. Most families find it easy to fold into their regular after-school or weekend routine.
What age can my child start music lessons?
We start as young as 4 for piano and ukulele. For guitar and drums, we usually recommend age 6 or 7 — though we’re happy to do a trial lesson to see if your child is ready. There’s no perfect age. Every kid is different.
Do I need to buy an instrument before the first lesson?
Not before the trial. After that, we’ll give you honest advice on what to get and what to skip — without pointing you toward anything expensive you don’t need yet.
How much do music lessons cost in Ancaster?
Private lessons run $148/month for 30-minute weekly lessons, $222/month for 45 minutes, and $296/month for 60 minutes. Semi-private and group options are available at lower rates. There’s a one-time $35 registration fee, and two free student concerts per year are included.
What if my child doesn’t practice?
Most kids don’t practice on their own — and that doesn’t make you a bad parent. We build lessons to work even when home practice is inconsistent, and we’ll give you practical, realistic strategies that don’t turn music into a nightly battle.
Do you offer online lessons for Ancaster students?
Yes. If a week gets complicated — sick kid, bad weather, busy schedule — online lessons via Zoom are available as a backup. Most of our Ancaster families prefer coming in, but the flexibility is there when you need it.
