Kids (Ages 6–12)
Guitar is one of the most popular instruments for kids — and one of the easiest to stick with when it’s taught well. We start with songs your child actually wants to play, build technique gradually, and keep things fun enough that they look forward to lessons every week.
Teens
Whether your teen wants to play in a band, learn their favourite songs, or write their own music — we work toward goals that matter to them. No stuffy curriculum, no music theory lectures nobody asked for.
Adults
Always meant to learn guitar? We have adult students who started at 40, 50, even older. Lessons are relaxed, goal-driven, and built around what you actually want to play.
How Our Guitar Lessons Work
One-on-one, weekly lessons. Same teacher, same time slot every week. 30, 45, or 60 minutes depending on age and goals.
No exams, no competitions. We don’t push RCM grades. Progress is measured by whether your child is improving and enjoying it — not a certificate.
Digital progress notes. After every lesson your teacher sends a note on what was covered and what to focus on at home. You’re always in the loop.
Two free student concerts per year. Low-pressure performance opportunities that build real confidence.
Do I Need to Buy a Guitar First?
Not before the trial lesson. After that, we’ll give you honest, brand-neutral advice on what to buy — acoustic vs. electric, what size for your child, and what to skip. We don’t sell instruments and have no reason to steer you toward anything expensive.

What age can kids start guitar lessons?
We usually recommend age 6 or 7 for guitar — small hands need a little time to develop the strength and dexterity. Every child is different though, and we’re happy to do a trial lesson to find out. We have a children’s guitar size that works well for younger beginners.
How much do guitar lessons cost near Dundas?
Private guitar lessons run $148/month for 30-minute weekly lessons, $222/month for 45 minutes, and $296/month for 60 minutes. There’s a one-time $35 registration fee. Two free student concerts per year are included.
Do you teach acoustic and electric guitar?
Both. Most beginners start on acoustic because it builds finger strength faster, but if your child has their heart set on electric, we’ll work with that. We’ll talk through the options at your trial lesson.
What if my child stops wanting to practice?
It happens to almost every kid at some point. We adjust lesson content to re-ignite interest when motivation dips, and we’ll give you realistic practice strategies that don’t turn into a nightly battle.
